EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing

EMDR is is an evidence based therapy for trauma and has shown promising outcomes for a number of distressing experiences, trauma and mental health issues including anxiety, depression and addiction.  EMDR helps clients to more readily access the natural healing process in our brains, much like the way our body is able to heal after a physical injury. Through EMDR facilitation, clients are able to heal more rapidly, utilizing their own inherent strengths. EMDR can help those struggling with :

- Anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias

- Depression and mood disorders

- Eating disorders

- Grief and loss

- PTSD, complex PTSD and other trauma and stress related issues

- Rape and sexual assault survivors

- Sleep issues

- Addiction

- Violence and abuse

Typical sessions for EMDR are 90 minutes and may be scheduled accordingly. For more information, call for a free consultation with me or  visit https://www.emdria.org/page/what_is_emdr_therapy
